Mother Atabey is the supreme deity of the Taino religion (also known as Atabei or Atabeyra), revered as the creator deity and the most significant god for the Taino people. She was the goddess of fertility and all horizontal freshwater. Her son, Yucahu, was the god of agriculture, and she was venerated as the mother of gods.
